This really is Everything Halo
Keeping the Halo love going, we thought it would be a nice idea to make the latest Best of the Web pick(s) Halo themed.
On the latest VERSUS PLAYER podcast, The Inevitable Halo Special, we spoke at length (2 and a half hours!) about everything Halo. The games, books, comics, movies, TV shows, collectables and heaps more. If you a are fan of Halo from way back when or someone new coming into the games, then there are two must visit and bookmark websites that will keep you informed on what’s been, is and coming in the Halo universe. These sites are Halo Waypoint and Halopedia.
This is the official site of Halo, right from the mouths of those who are creating the content. Halo Waypoint:
…provides users with various kinds of Halo information, including information on members of the Halo community, various machinima videos and gameplay strategies and tutorials. It also allows players to access their own gameplay-related data, total Halo Gamerscore through multiple games in the series. Most major announcements regarding the Halo series are also posted at Waypoint.
One of my favourite things about Halo Waypoint is all the information about my history with the Halo games. This includes achievements, medals, kill-death ratio, detailed stats about games played and information about campaign playthroughs. Just sign into your Live account and you’ll be surprised with the amount of detail you’ll see on your all those hours you’ve spent playing Halo.
Halopedia touts itself as the Halo encyclopedia. It is.
This is the place to learn any and everything about Halo. There really isn’t any better place to go on the Internet for information about every little detail in the world of Halo. Halopedia was the place I got most of my information for The Inevitable Halo Special (you can check out the show notes I put together here).
And this website isn’t just the games, it’s everything that is Halo (and even everything that was going to be). Also, the amount of layered hyperlinks is staggering. You’ll start reading about Forerunners and end up learning about Ur-Didact. There really is everything Halo here.
Happy (Halo) gaming!
